Test result black & white Tecco Baryt Glossy

The maximum density, obtainable with the Epson ink, is lower than the maximum density at a number of other baryta papers. The black is neutral in tone. The difference between very dark gray and black is a little too small though. You will thus have to adjust the photo file to ensure that dark areas are not clogging. All gray values are displayed a little warm without becoming sepia. The black and white prints get a very nice look because of this.

Gloss and surface Tecco Baryt Glossy

The surface has a low structure and the paper hardly shines. The test printer is an Epson 4880. This uses pigmented ink. Yet you hardly come across bronzing as 'gloss differential.'

Tecco blog

Pros

  • Black is neutral in tone
  • Grays are displayed nicely little warm in tone
  • Low bronzing and gloss differential

Cons

  • Maximum density is moderate
  • Difference between very dark gray and black is a little too small

The color reproduction on Tecco Baryt Glossy is pretty good, using an Epson 4880 printer. Both 'bronzing' and 'gloss differential' are very low. The maximum density could have been higher and the Tecco Baryt Glossy paper is priced quite averagely.
