Review Tecco Baryt Ivory 290 grams photo paper
The brand Tecco produces no less than three barite types including the Tecco Baryt Ivory photo paper. All three types were to resemble the classic photo paper used in the darkroom. The Tecco Baryt Ivory paper feels very sturdy, is acid-free and available in many sizes. Specifications Tecco Baryt Ivory 290 gramsWeight: 290 grams |

ICC color profile and color space |
| The ICC color profile is downloaded from the Tecco website that is specially made for this paper and this printer. At the mentioned website are many profiles for many printers, quite convenient. So you do not have to make your own ICC color profile. The color space is 743,167, an average value. | |

Most of the colors, in particular a portion of the slightly softer colors, are displayed correctly. Colors like red, blue and yellow are not displayed brightly enough. |

Test result black and white Tecco Baryt Ivory |
| The maximum density, obtainable with the Epson ink, is lower than the maximum density at a number of other barite papers. The black is neutral in tone. The difference between very dark gray and black is a little too small though. You will thus have to adjust the photo file to ensure that dark areas are not clogging. All gray values are displayed a little warm without becoming sepia. The black and white prints get a very nice look because of this. | ![]() |
Gloss and surface Tecco Baryt Ivory |
| The surface has a low structure and the paper hardly shines. The color of the paper is clearly warm, but this you only see in white squares in the picture. Especially with black and white prints, it gives a very nice effect. The test printer is an Epson 4880. This uses pigmented ink. Yet you hardly come across bronzing as 'gloss differential.' | |

Cons
The color reproduction on Tecco Baryt Ivory is pretty good, using an Epson 4880 printer. Both 'bronzing' and 'gloss differential' are very low. The black and white prints have a very nice warm feeling because the paper is ivory. The maximum density could have been higher and the Tecco Baryt Ivory paper is priced quite averagely.
